Heitz & Brendel Wine Dinner

6 PM RECEPTION - 6:30 PM SEATED DINNER

Brendel's namesake comes from Leon Brendel, born in Alsace, France in 1884 to a family of winegrowers. He moved to Napa Valley in 1930 and founded his "Only One" wine, referring to the only grape he consistently used, Grignolino. In 1961, Brendel sold his St. Helena property to Joe Heitz, who founded Heitz Cellar at this location. While Brendel wines were previously bottled under Heitz Cellar, they are now produced exclusively for Brendel. Joe Heitz ushered in Napa's modern era with his iconic, globally celebrated wines, including Napa Valley's first vineyard-designated Cabernet Sauvignon, the renowned Martha's Vineyard. Heitz Cellar has vineyards in six of Napa Valley's sub-appellations and is described as a "master of Grignolino."
